the design is bad
i ranted earlier about the terrible visual display that is myspace, and came across this article in today’s NYTimes. among other factors, the design of myspace is off-putting as the website is launched in other countries. says Robert Basic, an oddly named german who apparently embodies the german design ethic: “People here think the design is bad and that is important for Germans.”
also, though, he is 40 years old, which would seem to lie outside the main demographic for a myspace user.
so to recap, i have the taste of a 40 year old german. ok.
